Brave Conversations London 2018 was held at the height of BrExit as Prime Minister Teresa May sought to navigate the minefield of British politics. She also made a formal apology to Carribbean leaders for the Windrush controversy. There were record breaking temperatures as the Met Office declared 2018 one of the hottest years on record after the “Best from the East” had struck the previous winter. Stephen Hawking died, Prince George was born and Prince Harry married Meghan Markle. In addition Channel 4 aired the documentary which broke the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
This event saw us partner with Youth Charity Soapbox where they hosted our event in their purpose built space designed to help young people more effectively understand technology. We also partnered with the Web Science Trust and New Philanthropy Capital.
